Welcome - Where Should We Go?
Welcome to DiningInLA.com! We eat, write, think and take in the spectacular, sexy, occasionally seedy but never-stagnant qualities of our city.
We live in Silver Lake, over on the northeastern side of things, and slowly we're building our culinary experiences. Select a Category on the right to get started.
Know a place we should try? Leave feedback or click the Contact link to suggest new places to tickle and tantalize our taste buds (but without silly review-style sentences like that one).

The Blue Hen - Vietnamese
Casa Bianca - How could you have not been here yet. Stick with pizzas... my recommendation is large sausage, eggplant, extra garlic pizza.
Cafe Beaujolais - French... surprise!
Fatty's - Vegetarian I believe. I actually haven't been back since they switched from more of a coffee shop to a restaurant.
Larkin's - Soul food
Oinkster - Pulled pork and other goodies
Lemongrass - Vietnamese
Yea!
In Little Tokyo, a couple doors down from Mr. Ramen. Try the chicken karaage.
Scoops
An ice cream parlor on Melrose and Heliotrope, near LACC. Bacon and Chocolate flavored ice cream? No?
Just Green Tea and Rose, then.
Crown of India
On Santa Monica, just east of Highland and a little hidden behind a Benitos shack.
My friends drive from the Inland Empire to eat here.
Honey's Kettle
Culver City. Be prepared for some heart-stopping, blood-clogging fried chicken.
Mr. Baguette
Eh.. if you ever found yourself roaming the streets of Monterey Park, on Atlantic Ave.,
stop by this French-Vietnamese sandwich joint.
Banana Leaf
Singapore-Indonesian food.
Inside the Farmers Market at the Grove.
Laksa, mee goreng, and satay. Oh my.
I can't speak to their onmivore food, but their veggie options for veggie orange chicken and veggie drumsticks are wonderful. They have an entire page devoted to veggie substitutes.
Also excellent: Hugo's in West Hollywood, also on Santa Monica (near Crescent Heights). Omnivore and vegetarian friendly. I just had a successful birthday party there and everyone loved the food. I haven't tried the Hugo's in Sherman Oaks yet, but I'm sure it's just as good.
Thanks again for this excellent blog!
See you in class Dave!
***I had veggie tamales (excellent) and veggie and cheese enchiladas with black beans and rice. Mmm. I'd be curious to try their burrito...***

Palm Thai in Hollywood near Bronson. Amazing Thai.
I know of Palms, but never actually made it over there. I'll look into Le Saigon.
