We shan't be dining in L.A. for a few days. We're off to (not very) sunny, (not at all) warm Springfield, Missouri, for the holiday weekend.

We'll be cooking on Thursday, though, so the food will be good. We're departing from the traditional Autumnal pap that the food-related networks and magazines have been gushing out for weeks now: we're talking Bianca's baked macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and cocktail hour.
